GUIDE POSITIONS
HIKING & CAMPING GUIDES
Lead our day hiking trips and overnight camping trips. Qualified candidates will have a current Wilderness First Responder certification, possess at least 1-2 years of teaching and/or trip leading experience, have the ability to work within a team structure, be highly organized and a problem solver. Must also have the ability to prepare delicious meals for a diverse set of appetites and dietary restrictions in a backcountry environment using camp stoves, camp fires and minimal additional resources. Candidates must also have their Food Safety Certificate and must have a broad understanding of Bay Area natural and cultural history.
ROCK CLIMBING GUIDES
Lead our rock and ice climbing trips. Qualified candidates must have a current Wilderness First Responder and CPR certification, possess a current AMGA-SPI (or AMGA-Rock Guide) certification and have 2-3 years of documented SPI experience as a trip leader, along with an outstanding backcountry skill-set. Candidates considered will also be required to have a broad understanding of local geology, natural and cultural history.
KAYAKING GUIDES
Lead our remote kayaking trips. Qualified candidates must have a current Wilderness First Responder and CPR certification, a current Whitewater Rescue Technician certification, possess at least 2 seasons of kayak instruction experience, must have documented multi-day kayaking or river canoeing experience on remote rivers with at least 120 days of boating experience, the ability to safely navigate Class III whitewater, and an outstanding backcountry skill set. Candidates considered will also be required to have a broad understanding of local geology, river systems, natural and cultural history.

If your resume and cover letter are accepted, then you will be sent an application to fill out at length. Once applications are processed, applicants will be interviewed and screened for the second step in the interview process, a day out in the backcountry for senior guide evaluations.
