If you are humble enough to know your limitations, smart enough to not tag along to the local crag with untested climbers, and generally thirsty for knowledge, this is the trip for you! The only prerequisite for this workshop is the ability to belay in a top rope environment.
This is a Tier 1 Climbing Workshop - taking this workshop satisfies all of the pre-requisites to be admitted into our Tier 2 - Advanced Level Climbing Workshops.
In this class we will build on the knowledge you gained in your Level I Rock Climbing Anchors and Rescue class (a prerequisite for this course).
We'll work through additional knots and hitches, learn and practice leverage systems. You will learn safe rappelling techniques for individuals as well as tandem rappels with a second person and rappelling with incapacitated climbers. You will learn techniques for passing knots whether its while on rappel or when lowering an injured climber. We provide all the tools and equipment you need. Our only requirement is that you come prepared to THINK.
This is a Tier 2 - Advanced Level Climbing Workshop. Prior to taking this workshop, we require that you’ve taken our Level 1 - Rock Climbing Anchor and Rescue Workshop.
This workshop focuses on the skills and techniques that you will need to enter the realm of multi pitch rock climbing.
We'll start by addressing some of the bad habits that are common with beginning multi pitch climbers, then move into transitions from ascending to descending. You will learn the intricacies of rope management, and how to navigate many of the hazards that we encounter in multi-pitch terrain.
This is a Tier 2 - Advanced Level Climbing Workshop. Prior to taking this workshop, we require that you’ve taken our Level 1 - Rock Climbing Anchor and Rescue Workshop.
This workshop focuses on traditional climbing techniques and gear placements.
A variety of topics will be covered, including a thorough review of gear. We'll examine active and passive placements, strategies for retrieving gear as well as discuss the geology and structure of the rock and how that plays into the decision process when placing protection in traditional climbing.
This is a Tier 2 - Advanced Level Climbing Workshop. Prior to taking this workshop, we require that you’ve taken our Level 1 - Rock Climbing Anchor and Rescue Workshop.
Alpine rock climbing introduces an entirely new world of opportunity in exploration and adventure. It also introduces a new set of challenges, many of which we hope to address in this workshop.
We will cover a number of topics, some of which include movement in alpine environments, alpine specific anchors, short roping, and short pitching.
This is a Tier 3 - Advanced Level Climbing Workshop, which builds on the concepts of the Tier 1 and Tier 2 workshops. Prior to taking this workshop, we require that you’ve taken the Tier 1 and all three of the Tier 2 climbing workshops.
In this workshop we build on the techniques that you’ve used in the Multi-Pitch Transitions and Techniques Workshop. You will learn how to utilize the climbing rope in new and creative ways, enhancing your efficiencies and ability to safely navigate complex rock climbing scenarios.
This is a Tier 3 - Advanced Level Climbing Workshop, which builds on the concepts of the Tier 1 and Tier 2 workshops. Prior to taking this workshop, we require that you’ve taken the Tier 1 and all three of the Tier 2 climbing workshops.
A three person rope team requires new skills and techniques to move safely and efficiently through technical terrain.
In this workshop we teach the techniques required to get your party of three or more safely up and down a climb. We'll cover parallel, caterpillar, and rope-end climbing techniques, including transitions between the three as well as discuss the appropriate scenarios for each. We’ll teach you strategies for managing multiple ropes, and go over rescue skills adapted specifically for 3-person rock climbing teams.
This is a Tier 3 - Advanced Level Climbing Workshop, which builds on the concepts of the Tier 1 and Tier 2 workshops. Prior to taking this workshop, we require that you’ve taken the Tier 1 and all three of the Tier 2 climbing workshops.
This program applies the concepts and skills you’ve trained on in the Tier 1 and Tier 2 rescue workshops, and provides multiple scenarios for application. We will work multi-person weighted rescue scenarios in vertical terrain, leader rescue scenarios, as well as traversing rescue scenarios.
You will think your way out of complex problems and learn the skills needed to work through unforeseen circumstances and a multitude of scenarios.
This is a Tier 3 - Advanced Level Climbing Workshop, which builds on the concepts of the Tier 1 and Tier 2 workshops. Prior to taking this workshop, we require that you’ve taken the Tier 1 and all three of the Tier 2 climbing workshops.

Private instructional days are customized to help you achieve self-sufficiency in the vertical world, and a better understanding of the craft of rock climbing.

These workshops are not meant to replace physical, in person, training but should help keep you going and training when we can’t train together.
We’ll cover as many topics as possible from each of the Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 workshops that we offer in person, but in a virtual setting.
Our youth climbing program is designed to help the child develop their climbing skills in a fun and safe learning environment. More than climbing technique, we address the mental and physical strengthening needed for a lifetime of climbing!
This is a hands-on, walking photography workshop. We will work individually, as well as in small groups, to both set up and practice taking great shots. Getting to know your camera's functionality, and putting that knowledge into practice under the watchful eye of an instructor, will give you the tools you need to capture and share memories for many years to come.
